THAILAND REOPENING 01 NOVEMBER 2021 – AT LAST!

As of 01st November 2021, Thailand will reopen to fully vaccinated tourists from 46 countries, with no quarantine. Please see the full list of countries in following link at  TAT News

The entry rules are as follows:

·       Tourists must show a vaccine certificate that shows complete doses of a vaccine type approved by the WHO, which has been administered at least 14 days before arrival to Thailand.

·       Tourists should also show a negative RT-PCR (covid test) result obtained no more than 72 hours before arrival to Thailand.

·       Tourists need to have a valid Covid-19 insurance., with coverage of not less than USD 50,000

·       Travelers can arrive at any international airport in Thailand and must undergo another RT-PCR test, which would have been pre-booked, along with a first night stay in a SHA Plus hotel (hotels will help manage the test procedure for their guests.

·       After receiving negative results, the tourists can continue their journey to anywhere in Thailand, without restriction.

 

THAILAND CURFEW ENDING – MORE GOOD NEWS!

The prime minister has ordered an end to the curfew in 17 major provinces around Thailand, including Bangkok, from Oct 31 to support the reopening of the country to fully vaccinated foreign tourists from 01st November.

 

THAILAND REOPENING OFFER FROM EXPERIENCE ASIA

THAILAND HOTEL UPDATES

Kew Hotels

Kew Green Hotels, a UK-based hotel management company has signed three properties in Bangkok.

The latest deals to manage properties are for ‘Crowne Plaza Rama 9’, ‘Cassia by Banyan Tree Rama 9’ and ‘Cassia by Banyan Tree Ram Intra’. This is in addition to the earlier signing of four hotels under the ‘Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ brand due to open in Bangkok starting at the end of 2021. This will give Kew Green seven hotels in Thailand.

Outrigger Hotels

Outrigger Khao Lak Beach Resort and Outrigger Surin Beach Resort in Phuket are due to open on 15th December 2021. Outrigger Koh Samui Beach Resort on Lamai Beach should open by April 2022.

 

VIETNAM REOPENING IN DECEMBER

Vietnam is planning to allow fully vaccinated travelers to visit key tourist destinations from December 2021, as announced by the Vietnamese government on October 6. The destinations to open include the UNESCO world heritage site ‘Halong Bay’, the highland town ‘Hoi An’, and the beach destination ‘Nha Trang’. These destinations will only be opened to travelers from countries which are deemed a low Covid-19 risk, the government has announced. This is in addition to the Vietnamese government’s plan to reopen the resort island of ‘Phu Quoc’ to tourists in November 2021.

 

BALI REOPENING, BUT QUARANTINE RULES APPLY

From 15th October, fully vaccinated travelers from 19 countries including China, India, Sweden, Spain and France can enter Bali. Visitors must first serve a five-day hotel quarantine in a hotel. Daily covid cases have reduced significantly over the past month and the island has one of the highest vaccination rates in Indonesia, with more than 82% fully vaccinated, according to health ministry data.

One of the largest travel shows in the world is back. The WTM will take place at the EXCEL Centre in London from November 01st to 3rd next month.
