After a very bleak and difficult time over the past year, we can look forward to again welcoming tourists to our destinations around Asia. Some countries are opening their borders faster than others and there is clearly some way to go before tourism fully returns

Thailand has begun a process of re-opening and so we are highlighting a selection of new hotels opening later this year. We can see a pent-up demand already.Our new tariffs for Thailand are now available, so please contact us to receive your dedicated password to access our agent’s website. 

Firstly, below is an update regarding current entry conditions to Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia

Opening of Asian Destinations

As we are all aware, the Covid-19 pandemic has meant that countries around the world have been forced to close their borders, including destinations around Asia. Experience Asia would like to update you on as to when tourist can travel again to our Asian destinations.

Thailand Opening

Phuket has already opened to tourists, with strict conditions, and Samui is following this month, with Bangkok and Chiang Mai opening later in the year. Opening of Vietnam

Details of the current situation regarding Covid-19 and entry conditions into Vietnam can be found in the following link. One important update is that Vietnam has agreed trial a Vaccine passport from IATA in August. Please click here for more details.

Opening of Indonesia and Bali

Details of the situation regarding Covid-19 and entry conditions into Indonesia can be found in the following link. Unfortunately, the current situation is quite negative with little chance of a quick opening for international tourists. Please click here for more details.

Product Update Thailand – ‘June Bahtra’ Luxury Junk Ship in Phuket

‘Asian Oasis’ presents their traditional wooden junk boats, the June Bahtra 1 & 2 and the Jit Jai. Spotlight Hotel in Thailand – ‘Hyatt Regency Koh Samui’

This luxury resort has opened its doors on 5 July, marking the Hyatt brand’s first hotel in Samui. Occupying 3.2 ha of private coastline, the resort features 140 guestrooms, including 24 suites and villas, all of which look out to sea views from private balconies.

New Hotels Opening in Thailand

‘Kimpton Maa-Lai’ Bangkok (deluxe) is scheduled to open in early October 

‘Melia Chiang Mai’ (Superior) is expected to open from October 

‘Kimpton Koh Samui’ (deluxe) is also expected to open in October

‘Centara Reserve Samui’ (deluxe) is opening in August 2021
