The World’s largest travel show, ‘ITB Berlin’ will take place at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds from 5-7 March, 2024. For more than 50 years the name ‘ITB’ has stood worldwide for industry knowledge and networking and this year ‘Experience Asia’ will be attending along with thousands of travel professionals from around the world. Luxury resort group ‘Aman’ will officially open the ‘Aman Nai Lert Bangkok Hotel’ in the third quarter of this year. The Bangkok resort features 52 suites, a wellness centre, a signature Omakase restaurant, a Teppanyaki restaurant and Jazz bar. ‘Aman Nai Lert Bangkok’ will be located in scenic Nai Lert Park and is expected to be among the finest hotels in Bangkok

The ‘Eastern & Oriental Express’ will return to service in February after a four-year gap.
Belmond’s luxury train carries passengers over four days between Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, stopping at Kuala Lumpur, Butterworth and Kanchanaburi. The iconic ‘Kiss Bridge’ in ‘Sunset Town’ on ‘Phu Quoc Island’ has officially opened. With its innovative design and stunning location in south Phu Quoc, this new architectural wonder spans a distance of 800 meters, with two separate walkways coming from opposite directions. In the middle, there is a 30 cm gap, a distance which can be easily crossed with an embrace, a handshake, or… even a kiss. The precise point gap has also been calculated to capture a spectacular sight – every January 1st, the setting sun gracefully descends right between the bridge’s two arches, creating a charming scene, making it one of the world’s most stunning sunset spots

Indonesia News / ‘Bali Tourist Tax’ from 14 February
All foreign tourists must pay an IDR 150,000 International Tourism Levy (approximately USD13) when entering Bali via the airport or seaports starting on Valentine’s Day, 14 February. We recommend that travellers pay the fee via the ‘Love Bali App’ before they travel to avoid congestion at payment counters at ports of entry. Payment can also be processed at designated booths in Bali’s ‘Ngurah Rai International Airport’. Part of the funds will be used to improve tourism infrastructure and facilities.

‘Chinese New Year’, also known as ‘Lunar New Year’, is the most important festival in China and a major event in other South-East Asian countries, including Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and Indonesia. ‘Chinese New Year’ this year will fall on Saturday, February 10th. Some of the traditions will include: putting up decorations, offering sacrifices to ancestors, giving red envelopes and other gifts, plus of course lots of firecrackers and fireworks
