Japan News / ‘New Japanese E-Visa’

Japan has rolled out a new e-visa system to streamline the visa application process for tourists. Under this new system, eligible applicants from selected countries can now apply for visas electronically. This eliminates the need for physical visa stickers and simplifies the entire application procedure. One of the key features of the e-Visa system is the digital ‘visa issuance notice,’ which travellers must present upon arrival in Japan.

The Last Word / Waisak Festival’ in Indonesia

Held on the night of the full moon in May, ‘Waisak’ is a Buddhist festival celebrated throughout the island of Java. The festival is also known as ‘Tri Suci Waisak’ (Three Holy Events), signifying the birth, death and enlightenment of Buddha under the Bodhi tree. The most prominent celebration of Wisak takes place at the spectacular 9th Century Buddhist monument, ‘Borobudur’ in ‘Yogyakarta’
