Thailand News / Tourism tax postponed
The Thai government has announced the postponement of the planned 300-baht (US$9) per person tourism tax from June, to September, due to complaints from airlines. Bali Hotels / ‘Bisma Eight’, Ubud
‘Bisma Eight’, is located amid the lush green hills of central Bali, combining the traditional with the unexpected, in terms of design. It’s not the usual thatched roofed Balinese resort but there’s still plenty of Indonesian charm. Local art exhibitions and low-key soft furnishings are the perfect foil to the angular lobby’s raw concrete walls. https://bisma-eight.com/

The Last Word / ‘The Iceman Charity’
Experience Asia are proud to support the ‘Iceman Charity’ in Thailand, which was founded in 2004 by my good friend ‘Volker Capito’. The ‘Wat Sakaeo Temple’ complex was founded as an orphanage in 1942 housing ten children and today houses almost 2,000 children, becoming one of the largest orphanages in South East Asia. This is a really wonderful institution and a visit can be arranged with a chance to offer charitable support. More details can be found at: https://icemancharity.com/
